As part of my PhD, I mainly work on understanding nonlocal correlations, as pioneered by John Bell in the 1960s, and stronger versions of it motivated by the Local Friendliness theorem more recently. My project involves using a mixture of metaphysical arguments and physical constraints to characterise the nonlocal correlations in networks, working out applications of such nonclassical resources in device-independent quantum cryptography, and implementing proof-of-principle experiments using photons.

Previously, as part of the BS-MS coursework in IISER Pune, I have had the opportunity to work on a research project under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This project can be credited in the place of a course and, thus, gives us a glimpse of what working in research looks like even in our undergraduate years.
